Every day in Canada patients get infections in health care facilities while they are being treated for something else.

These are commonly referred to as Healthcare Associated Infections, or HAIs.

Some of the most dangerous of these viruses are immune to antibiotics, and are called “super bugs”.

The Canadian Union of Public Employees, representing over 11,000 health care workers in Manitoba is working with the community to help stop the spread of super bugs!

We will be heading out to community events across Manitoba to help raise awareness around hand hygene and the fight against superbugs!
